Join fellow coaches for a walk around one of Oakland's most iconic landmarks. Known as the "Jewel of Oakland," Lake Merritt combines beautiful waterfront views, vibrant city energy, historic architecture, gardens, and abundant birdlife, creating a unique setting for connection and conversation.

Unlike many traditional hiking trails, the Lake Merritt Loop offers an urban outdoor experience that is highly accessible and ideal for networking. The wide, mostly level pathway allows participants to walk comfortably side-by-side while building relationships with fellow coaches. Along the route, participants will pass Lakeside Park, the Rotary Nature Center, Children's Fairyland, public art installations, and some of Oakland's most recognizable neighborhoods. The lake itself is a National Historic Landmark and the nation's first designated wildlife refuge.

This walk is perfect for coaches who enjoy a blend of nature, community, and city life while engaging in meaningful conversations and expanding their professional network.
