A Day of Learning, Connection, and Possibility
On September 18, 2026, the ICF San Francisco Bay Area Coaches community came together at San Francisco's iconic Exploratorium for our inaugural in-person Coaches Summit: A Playground of Possibilities.
The sold-out event brought coaches together for a day of experiential learning, meaningful conversations, professional growth, and community building. We stepped outside our everyday routines to explore new approaches to coaching, strengthen our skills, and reconnect with one another.
Highlights from the Summit
Emotional Intelligence and Coaching Mastery
Joshua Freedman, MCC, CEO of Six Seconds and author of Emotion Rules, challenged us to turn the lens inward and explore how our own emotional awareness influences trust, presence, and the coaching relationship.
Learning Through Experience
From improv and theater to somatics, creativity, AI, and coaching supervision, interactive workshops encouraged us to experiment, reflect, and discover new ways to support our clients. The Exploratorium provided a fitting backdrop for curiosity, exploration, and play.
The Power of Community
Beyond the workshops, the Summit created space for coaches to build relationships, exchange ideas, and find a sense of belonging. Community Circles brought together coaches around shared interests, creating connections designed to continue long after the event.

The Summit may be over, but the learning and connections continue.
Attendees can revisit insights and explore additional tools through the speaker presentations, handouts, and resources shared after the event.
