Embodying the ICF Coaching Mindset in Team Coaching
CCEUs: 1 CC, 0.5 RD
As organizations increasingly rely on teams to navigate complexity, coaches are being invited into systems that require more than individual coaching expertise. Team coaching asks us to expand our coaching mindset, to trust collective intelligence, work skillfully with dynamics and power, and remain grounded in ICF ethics while the client becomes the system itself.
In this interactive session, participants will explore how the ICF Core Competency of Coaching Mindset shows up differently, and more visibly, when coaching teams and organizations. Drawing upon the presenter’s experience of coaching and coaching education, this session will clarify what distinguishes team coaching from facilitation and group coaching, and what mindset maturity is required to coach teams responsibly and effectively.
The session will also include a transparent overview of a Team Coaching for Organizational Excellence development pathway, offered as one example of how coaches can deepen their capacity to work with teams while staying aligned with ICF competencies and ethics.
This is an educational, reflective, and experiential session designed to support coaches in discerning their next developmental edge, whether or not team coaching is part of their immediate path.
