This interactive program is designed to spark conversation among coaches about navigating the VUCA forces (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) in both their own and their clients' lives. Volatility involves rapid, unpredictable changes; Uncertainty is the lack of clarity about the present or future; Complexity refers to numerous interconnected factors creating confusion; and Ambiguity describes situations where information is unclear and open to interpretation. Participants will explore real-life examples of how these forces manifest in coaching scenarios, enhancing their ability to recognize VUCA dynamics in action. Through guided discussion, attendees will also gain practical strategies to effectively support clients facing VUCA-related challenges.

The three primary objectives of this program include:

  • Understand each of the four VUCA forces: Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity.
  • Explore practical strategies for effectively supporting clients experiencing one or more of these forces.
  • Integrate learning through small group case study discussions with peers.

About the Speaker - Alex Wallash, MA-ODL, ACC 

Alex is an executive coach and entrepreneur dedicated to helping leaders thrive through clarity, resilience, and strategic insight. As Communications Director for the International Coaching Federation's San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (ICF SFBAC), Alex enjoys serving our local coaching community. Alex holds an MA in Organization Development and Leadership, bringing a thoughtful, systems-focused perspective to coaching engagements.
