Exciting to see everyone who was able to join us for The Coaches Summit: A Playground of Possibilities at the Exploratorium on September 18. It was a beautiful day, and the Exploratorium enhanced our experience together. Here are a few takeaways.

Experience 1

  • Improv for Coaches: Build Presence, Agility, and Connection with Mallory Penney. Takeaway: Use the fortunately/unfortunately exercise to help explore challenges.

  • Coaches Toolbox with Arielle Levi. Takeaway: The power of drawing to reveal stories, directions, and actions.

  • Igniting Coach Development: Group Coaching Supervision Lab with Melanie Le Van Cau, Jill Jay, and Betsy Block. Takeaway: Thinking about how helpful reviewing cases are in our growth.

Experience 2

  • Burnout, Unbundled: A Systemic Approach to Supporting Organizations Struggling With Burnout with Betsy Block. Takeaway: Thinking about alignment in the six areas of the Maslach matrix: workload, reward, community, fairness, values, and control.

  • Enter Stage Left: Theater Scenes for Coaching Agility with Ariela Morgenstern. Takeaway: How much of a difference staying present and connected brings to the interaction.

  • From Stuck to Sparked: Creativity as a Coaching Superpower with Astra Fox. Takeaway: We can create poems and affirmations from listing thoughts about something.

Experience 3

  • Bringing ICF Core Competencies Into the Body with Laura Geduldig. Takeaway: Movement can help us incorporate ideas.

  • The AI Playground: From Curiosity to Confidence with Mo Lei Fong. Takeaway: There are lots of ways we can use AI as coaches.

  • The Spacious Coach: Mirror, Not Map with Sarika Shankarnarayan. Takeaway: Hold three seconds of silence before speaking.

None of the learning would have been possible without our volunteers and Community Circle leaders, who have given their time to shape the day.

Keep the connections going:
