Numbers, Newsletters, and New Committee Opportunities

The San Francisco Bay Area ICF chapter is looking for volunteers to join our Finance and Communications committees.

Finance Committee

This opportunity is for someone to work alongside the SFBAC Treasurer and involves the following:

  • Support financial reporting and reconciliations, tracking expenses and reimbursements

  • Learning all the ins and outs of the nonprofit financial processes and budgeting cycles. 

  • Diving into documentation and compliance work too. 

What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is that it could be a stepping stone to board membership for someone interested in nonprofit leadership and governance.

 

Communications Committee

This opportunity is split into two main areas of focus: 

  • SFBAC monthly newsletter, specifically bringing words to life and creating content that connects, engages, and inspires readers each month.

  • Website maintenance and improvement, which includes enhancing both the content and functionality of the SFBAC website - from polishing up messaging or adding "a touch of magic to the user experience." 

This team meets monthly to let ideas bloom and connections deepen. We’re looking for people with a passion for writing, editing, and communication who possess a problem-solving mindset, and a love for teamwork.
